The UK version of the X Factor, one of the most popular shows on British TV and one that always instigates a rise in sales of LG televisions and LCD televisions, may not have had its judging panel for this year’s renewal finalised, but over in America, the speculation about the identity of the judges is getting more and more frantic with each passing day.
The latest high-profile name to be chucked into the ring in the USA is Black Eyed Peas star Fergie, who has revealed that she will be unable to become a judge due to other commitments and restrictions on her time. With Fergie believing the role is one that demands a serious commitment from anyone who takes it, and with the singer clearly busy making and selling records with the other members of the Black Eyed Peas, her decision to turn down Simon Cowell is understandable, despite the financial benefits you can imagine come along with a role in the show.
The current favourites for the positions still left unoccupied on the judging panel in the US are Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole, who have both received public backing from Cowell and who have previous experience of working closely with the music mogul. Cole is thought to be keen on making a name for herself over in America, while Abdul is obviously a more well-known and familiar face to a US TV audience that can prove difficult for first-timers to crack.
L.A. Reid and Cowell himself are the only individuals who will definitely be making an appearance on the panel when the show gets underway, so watch this space!
